The annual Preferred Insurance fundraising drive for Childcan produced another astonishing result in 2018 thanks to the commitment and generosity of more than 100 business partners. A lofty goal of $50,000 was set this year, following huge success and growth the past few years, and we not only met it – we surpassed it and set a new record!
The pinnacle of the drive is the massive ‘Turkey Bowl’ event, which serves as a thank you to our business partners and supporters – not to mention, it’s a big fun day to celebrate our joint achievement. Since the event added the charitable component (supporting Childcan) seven years ago, the total amount raised has now surpassed $300,000!

It’s an amazing organization that helps families navigate emotionally and financially during battles with childhood cancer.”
The biggest transformation for the event came from partnering with BELFOR Property Restoration as our Signature Event Partner. The move has substantially helped take it to another level, and we are very thankful for their continued partnership. The Turkey Bowl is a fun day with a special purpose, and it’s proof that many hands joining together can accomplish something truly outstanding.
All-Star Partners who made special excess donations beyond regular partnership amounts include: Gore Mutual Insurance Company ($5,000), Enterprise Rent-A-Car ($3,000) and Heartland Farm Mutual ($2,500).
We are extremely proud and grateful to have such fantastic partners. Together, we raised $53,125 for Childcan!
