Local juniors fare well at National event

In early November, the best golfers from across Canada on the Maple Leaf Junior Tour gathered to battle the Nicklaus Course at Reunion Resort near Orlando, Florida. Two Team London juniors, Cam Kellett and Aidan Smith, travelled to the event to compete for the junior title and juvenile title, respectively.

The three days of sun was a great test for these juniors, and it even included a demonstration by Charlie Rymer from the Golf Channel. Aidan improved each day, with rounds of 88-82-76 to finish T17th. With good ball striking and an off day on the greens the first two days, Cam was in 3rd place entering the final round, eight shots back of the leader. Cam shot the lowest score in the final group (71) to secure 3rd place, just four shots off a playoff.

Congratulations to Carson and Cam on representing Team London in Florida!
