Power Cheer Gym kicked off the season with some solid division wins in Michigan

Vipers in Michigan
Three PCG teams kicked off their seasons in Birch Run, Michigan and had strong showings. Adrenaline (Jr) and Surge (Sr) brought home first-place finishes, while Amped (Youth) finished second in a very competitive division. The competitive club season ramps up in late January and runs through to the club Nationals in April. Athletes interested in joining competitive cheer can still get involved – even once the season is started. Contact PCG for information!

RedOps V2
A joint venture between the Power Cheer Gym and Bluewater CA (Sarnia), RedOps V2 is gearing up for the chance to represent Canada at the World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando. The squad was shortlisted as one of three teams vying for selection as the World Junior Nationals team for Canada. Final announcements are in January.

Western Coed
Canada’s pre-eminent university cheer team, the Western Mustangs, brought home top spot in the large coed division at Nationals and netted the highest scores of all 23 teams across all divisions en route to their 33rd title at the event in Toronto.

Western All Girl
At the PCA Collegiate Nationals in Brampton, the Western All Girl team finished second in the country behind Wilfrid Laurier University. Western and Laurier have exchanged victories over the last five years in the country’s most competitive collegiate division. The two teams will square off again in Ottawa in the new year.

Fanshawe Black Falcons
The Fanshawe Competitive Power Cheer team also posted a win in their head-to-head matchup vs. Royalty Elite from Ottawa. The Falcons are in their 11th year and remain Canada’s top community college cheer program.
